THESE ARE GRANVILLE ISLAND'S SEPTEMBER MUST-HAVES
We did things a little differently this month. We asked what you wanted to see in September's Market Box, and you answered.Â
You said you wanted new crop apples- and we went to the expert- Maggie at No1 Orchard. These crisp, juicy, Okanagan gala apples are at peak perfection.Â
Â
You were craving carbs for September, so we threw in a gorgeous Brioche Loaf from A Bread Affair. Be still our beating hearts.Â
What about something to warm your soul? The Stock Market has you covered with their Tomato Basil Soup. All their soups are made fresh daily- this one is rich, hearty, and flavourful.Â
And... well, these items are just calling for a fall cheese to pair with, aren't they? This Piave Vecchio from Benton Brothers is slightly fruity and nutty- aged for 12 months for a lovely granular, slightly chewy texture.Â
To round out September's Market Box, you're going to need something sweet, and something savoury. We chose The Nut Merchant's Garlic Pepper Cashew- these nuts have a serious flavour punch with a bold garlic and peppercorn flavour, and a surprise hint of pomegranate to balance.
On the sweet side, we have the award winning Dark Chocolate Salted Caramels from ChocolaTas.
Last but certainly not least, we added a custom #GranvilleIslandLuv Face Mask from Make, featuring seasonal apples. Perfect for errands, to show your love for Granville Island.
Don't forget to add on a six pack of artisan beer!
