The Pickle Kings of the East bring a cult favourite to the West Coast.
You’ll be hard-pressed to find two people more passionate about pickles than Scott Kaylin and Chris Hobson. When they moved back to the West Coast (from New York and Toronto, respectively), they struggled to find a great-tasting pickle, and as the saying goes, “if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself!”. As a result, the tie-wearing brine buddies decided to create a pickle company so that they would never have a shortage of grade-A pickles.
Their passion project began in 2017, when they launched their stand at the Granville Island Public Market, and since then, they have grown a cult-like following. Today, Kaylin & Hobbs features flavours that both savoury and sweet pickle-lovers crave, and they continue to deliver pickles packed with a classic New York taste and an undeniable West Coast vibe. Toss a few on a charcuterie board and pair with a nice, cold West Coast IPA or simply enjoy straight out of the container while leaning against your fridge - they’re THAT good!
